Paradise and Magalia are home to three public and three private elementary schools, one junior high school, one high school, and one continuation school. Butte Community College is located 10 miles south of Paradise, and California State University, Chico is southwest of Paradise in Chico.

Arts, Entertainment & Culture
Paradise offers live theater productions through "Theater on the Ridge," two movie theaters, the Paradise Symphony, the Gold Nugget Museum, and live music in several nightclubs on the weekends. Paradise is also home to the Gold Nugget Days, held every May, and several other annual celebrations. There are also 26 churches, 1 library, 1 newspaper, 2 radio stations, 11 TV channels received, 6 parks, and several recreational facilities.

The Chico Municipal Airport is the closest airport offering regular commuter service between Chico and major cities in California. It is located in north Chico off Cohasset Road, approximately 20 miles from Paradise.
